Maureen is an author, a prolific writer, poet, and writing workshop facilitator. Maureen’s poetry comes to her through life’s experiences and through her intrinsic love for nature and humanity.
Maureen has published 3 books. Seasons of The Soul: Transitions and Shifts of Life was released in 2014. Her second book, Our Surrender Pause: 30 Poems in 30 Days was written during April, National Poetry Month, writing through the Pandemic, published in July of 2020. All revenues from her book went towards COVID relief efforts in Chicago.
Her newest book, published on September 5, 2023, Love Yourself Fiercely: Through the Beauty and Ache in Life, is composed of 3 sections of poetry and prose. Grief and Loss, Emotional and Physical Changes, Empowering yourself to love yourself fiercely and to love the world fiercely.
She was nominated for the Pushcart Prize in 2023 for her poem “Live Fearlessly.”
From 2014-2017, Maureen has been published in 5 anthologies.
Maureen recites her poetry at local venues and hosts writing workshops throughout the Chicago-land area and resides in Oak Park, Ill.
