Mother’s Day can be fraught for many of us. Whether our families of origin have experienced loss, face separation, or have caused harm, it may help to build meaningful community with others. Join us for Collective Will: A quarterly event featuring writing, storytelling, and other forms of creative art and performance from folks experiencing disability, illness, aging and caregiving—some planned, and some in an open mic format. A space to remember the fullness of who we are and have been. To connect and create the future that’s yet to be written.
Collective Will responds to the inherent limitations of the Our Will Power Project (our-will-power.com), an undertaking of mother and son team Janice and Brandon Will, both disabled in different ways, writing and participating in advocacy from both sides of the caregiving relationship. Our Collective Will can achieve what Our WIll Power alone cannot.
